"For The Beauty"

Written in 1864 by Folliot Sandford Pierpoint
Music: Con-Rad Koch-er, 1838

This incredibly beautiful hymn was suggested to me by Gary Malkin when we were practicing "Shalom Aleichem" in his house near San Francisco. We were going in the next day to record Shalom and Gary said "you must do this one too!"

His piano on this is just so hauntingly beautiful that I couldn't imagine adding a single thing. It's the song of all of these in honor and celebration of Mother Earth...

Produced by BNC & Gary Malkin

Vocal: BNC
Piano: Gary Malkin

For the Beauty of the earth
For the glory of the skies
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies
Lord of all to thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise

For the wonder of each hour
Of the day and of the night
Hill and vale and tree and flower
Sun and moon and Stars of light
Lord of all to thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise
